Gaps of Ease

Client: Signe Guttormsen

2022

The installation Gaps of Ease is a spatial representation of urban life and the way in which the built environment shapes our encounters with ourselves and others. It features a labyrinthine structure of steel and light, with walls made of vertical blinds in different materials and transparencies.

As the architect on the project, I worked closely with Guttormsen to design and create drawings for the steel frames. The construction took place at Statens Værksteder for Kunst and was a collaborative effort between Guttormsen, Sofie Brag, and Jacob Kobæk Thing.
