Decoration for Aarhus School of Architecture
Client: Kaspar Bonnén
2022
Kaspar Bonnén's decoration artwork at Aarhus School of Architecture is designed for the new buildings' unique and uncompromising design at Godsbanen in Aarhus. The artwork greets visitors at the main entrance in the central canteen area.
The artwork encourages reflection on the countless spaces we traverse, including urban spaces, institutions, private homes, and personal spaces that consist of thought, emotions and human relationships.
As an architect on the project, I collaborated with Bonnén to develop concept sketches and visualizations of the project. I also designed the 28 canvases that make up the three paintings, ensuring that they fit the space and the artwork's theme. Additionally, I was responsible for the installation of the artwork.
The Ny Carlsberg Foundation donated the project, and it was developed in collaboration with the Aarhus School of Architecture and the Ny Carlsberg Foundation.
